RED SEA (Jan. 25, 2020) – Aviation Ordnanceman 1st Class Joshua Goodrich, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), fires a .50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire gun shoot. Bataan is the flagship for the Amphibious Ready Group, and with embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners and preserve freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
