Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Carlton W. Kent, left, and Sgt. Maj. Bryan B. Battaglia, II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) Forward SgtMaj, arrive at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq off a CH-46 Sept. 24. Sgt. Maj. Kent traveled throughout the Al Anbar Province of Iraq meeting with Marines and Service members currently deployed. II MEF is deployed with Multi-National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
