From Feb. 6 to Feb. 7, Bennington Lake levels rose from 15% to 65% full following more than 8 inches of rain in the Blue Mountains. By noon Feb. 7, Bennington Lake was approaching 72% full, and by 5 p.m. it had reached 80% capacity. With a break in the rain, the Corps stopped diverting heavy runoff into Bennington Lake, reserving about 20% storage space for uncertain precipitation.
By noon Feb. 8, Bennington Lake levels dropped to 70% of its capacity.
