PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 13, 2020) An F-35B Lightning II fighter aircraft, with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), shoots flares over San Antonio-class dock landing ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) and the Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199) as part of a visit, board, search and seizure rehearsal. Green Bay, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
