SAN ANTONIO - (Feb. 18, 2020) Capt. Anthony Bayungan (center), of San Diego, commodore of Navy Recruiting Region West, Navy Recruiting Command (NRC), met with Sailors assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio at the Navy’s Virtual Reality Experience, the “Nimitz”, during the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. During his visit to NRD San Antonio, Bayungan spoke with Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) students of Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch and attended a career fair held at Texas State University in San Marcos. NRD San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
