U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Brian D. The purpose of the visit was to have a face-to-face meeting with the Chief of the Norwegian Army and to observe II MEF forward deployed Marines at work. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain-warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners.
