Soldiers from 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment (Widowmakers), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), prepare to board a CH-47 (Chinook) helicopter Oct. 29 near the Air Assault school obstacle course on Fort Campbell, Ky. The 30-hour spur ride featured a 9.5-mile foot march to the Air Assault obstacle course on post, followed by an air movement to the spur stations, which tested candidates as a team on basic soldier skills.
