NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Feb. 19, 2020) - Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Tashell Kerr, from Cincinnati, Ohio., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, performs maintenance on a 60kW generator during the NMCB 1 Battalion Equipment Evaluation Program (BEEP) on Naval Station Rota, Spain, Feb. 19, 2020. BEEP is conducted during the turnover of one Seabee battalion to another, assessing the status of civil engineer support equipment available. NMCB 1 is forward-deployed to execute construction, humanitarian assistance, and theater security cooperation in the U.S. 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet areas of operation.
