ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 19, 2020) - Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Jai Sanders signals to the pilots of an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter that Sailors on the flight deck team are moving in to remove the chocks and chains during flight operations aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), Feb. 19, 2020. Carney is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
