The blackened exterior hole on the recreational vehicle marks the spot
where a malfunctioning refrigerator cooling system caught fire and
burned the interior of the vehicle at the RV Park aboard Marine
Corps Logistics Base Barstow, California, Feb. 15. The small window
to the right of the RV door is the official "emergency exit" in case of a
fire. The 2-foot wide window is 9 to 10 feet off the ground.
