Peering through the hole created by the fire sparked by a malfunctioning
refrigerator, Hammett and Hinton survey the damage to the interior of the 34-foot long recreational vehicle berthed at the RV Park aboard MCLB Barstow, Feb. 15. A recall issued by the refrigerator's manufacturer warning of just such a possibility was never seen by Hinton, who is the second owner of the RV.
