Marines from Landing Force CARAT with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force begin a patrol through the jungle with the aide of Malaysian soldiers during a jungle warfare exercise as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Timor Leste joins CARAT for the first time in 2012.
