    U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Sergio Hernandez, platoon sergeant, 2nd platoon, Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, scans the jungle for any movement while on patrol during a jungle warfare exercise as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Timor Leste joins CARAT for the first time in 2012.
