Lt. Col. Seth Folsom, outgoing battalion commander of 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, thanks his family and friends for their support during a change of command ceremony here, June 28. Folsom also thanked the Marines and sailors whom he trained and fought beside in Afghanistan. “This battalion since way back in 2003 has not completed one deployment that was not into a combat zone, and their next deployment will be no different about a year from now,” said Folsom, a graduate of the University of Virginia. “While I move onto my next thing, they are already training, already fighting to get back to where we just were.”
