Soldiers of the 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) await the arrival of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter to perform sling load operations by connecting a Humvee to the helicopter's cargo hooks at an airfield at North Fort Hood, Texas, June 27. A soldier with the 316th ESC, Sgt. Jonathan Coupal from Rouses Point, New York, said, “This was really good training, it’s something that not a lot of other soldiers get to do.” Sgt. 1st Class Bagrowski and Spc. Fluke, members of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade of the New York Army National Guard, provided instruction and oversaw safety on the ground during the entirety of the training. The 316th ESC partnered with the 42nd CAB of the New York Army National Guard to conduct this training.
