Gunner's Mate 2nd Class James Jackson, a Gunner's Mate School instructor, watches over Navy Junior ROTC cadets as they fire simulated 9mm pistols in the fire arms training simulator lab at Gunner's Mate School at Naval Station Great Lakes. More than 135 cadets from 55 high schools in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota Ohio, West Virginia and Texas, took part in the 2012 Navy Junior ROTC Area 3 Leadership Academy weeklong event.
