The Strike Force Brigade held the competition at Forward Operating Base Loyalty in eastern Baghdad, Oct. 12. Hazel, a Soldier with Company A, 2nd Base Support Battalion and a native of Durham, Conn., had previously won Soldier of the Month and Quarter boards. Valenzuela, from Manila, Philippines, won the NCO competition by beating out four other competitors. He is with the Brigade Special Troops Battalion
