Wyoming Army National Guard flight medic Sgt. Eric Cothren, also a firefighter for the City of Denver Fire Department, prepares to receive patients with simulated injuries into a UH60 Black Hawk en route to Wyoming’s Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center’s North Training Area following a training mission for C Company, 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, which rescued two patients with simulated injuries June 21, 2012. The training mission was the first during a 72-hour training operation for the Company to prepare for future missions, both in combat and in support of their state missions. C Company, also known as Charlie Med, is the Wyoming Army National Guard’s most deployed unit, since Operation Desert Storm.
