DEDEDO, Guam (April 15, 2020) U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Chris Baecker, motor transport operator with Motor Transport Company, 3rd Transportation Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, communicates through hand and arm signals to the driver of a MKR18 Cargo Logistic Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) while offloading an International Organization for Standardization container with materials for construction of an Expeditionary Medical Facility (EMF). The EMF will provide expanded medical capabilities in support of the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 response and will enable forces to be postured to support Guam and the region if a Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission is requested.
