Members from the Illinois Air National Guard, Walsh Construction and the Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District, prepare to unload several pallets of tents from a C-130 at Midway International Airport April 8. The tents, flown in from Eugene, Oregon, will be used to create negative pressure rooms for COVID19 patients at the COVID19 Alternate Care Facility at McCormick Place in Chicago. Once complete, the facility will have a total of 3000 beds for those who have the virus. The Chicago District, in support of the White House, Department of Defense, FEMA, and state and local authorities, has been working around the clock in order to create four ACFs to help slow the spread of the pandemic.
