JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 1, 2020) – Hospitalman Alliana Edwards dispenses over-the-counter medications at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s “swab tent” during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hospital’s providers refer patients to this service for screening and test sample collection, when medically indicated. Patients are asked to call ahead (to the 24/7 Nurse Advice Line) for COVID-19 concerns. Patients can call the appointment line, for a virtual visit or in-person care. Navy Care virtual visits are available to patients enrolled to Naval Hospital Jacksonville or its branch health clinics in Albany, Jacksonville, Key West, Kings Bay, and Mayport. NH Jacksonville is providing most care virtually and minimizing foot traffic through its facilities, to protect patients, staff, and the public, and maintain mission readiness for the Department of Defense.
