Helmets and harnesses belonging to B-2 Spirit pilots assigned to Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, sit staged before a flight on March 17, 2020, at Royal Air Force Fairford, England. Airmen and key support equipment, and three B-2 Spirits deployed to RAF Fairford in support of Bomber Task Force Europe, which challenges the team to operate at forward locations and to collaborate with international strategic partners. Airmen assigned to the Whiteman AFB aircrew flight equipment operations and fabrications sections are responsible for maintaining, equipping and fitting their B-2 Spirit pilots with the gear they need to fly safely and successfully. While these Total Force Airmen are forward to RAF Fairford in support of BTF Europe, they provide the same level of critical support as they would at home station. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
