SOUTH CHINA SEA (April 22, 2020) A chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defense (CBRN) specialist with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) demonstrates how to put on a Scotts Level B Suit during a class on CBRN fundamentals aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The class taught Marines from different occupational fields key skills that they can apply in a CBRN environment. America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
