NEW ORLEANS, La. - Pilots from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., and the Louisiana Air National Guard perform a flyover of the Superdome and medical facilities in New Orleans on Friday, May 1, to honor healthcare workers, first responders, essential employees, and volunteers working in the fight against COVID-19.
The flyover was part of the Air Force Salutes program and included two Air Force B-52 Stratofortresses assigned to the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale AFB and two Louisiana Air National Guard F-15 Eagles from the 159th Fighter Wing based at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans.
