The Iraqi Army 'junior hero' (left), an Iraqi army soldier from the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division (mechanized) gives the 'allegiance for good' oath to children at an elementary school in Jerf Al-Mila, Iraq, Oct. 17, inducting them as honorary 'junior heroes.' The Junior Hero program has been designed for Iraqi security force personnel to visit local Iraqi school children, giving them insight into the roles the Iraqi army and Iraqi police play in their communities and to teach them about volunteerism.
