(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) Romanian servicemembers tour a mobile biolab operated by the Alabama National Guard's 46th Civil Support Team. The lab allows the team to examine samples from a hazardous location and determine its properties.
The joint delegation of Romanian Soldiers, Airmen, and Defense civilians traveled to Alabama to join in the state’s efforts in combatting COVID-19. Consisting of medical and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) specialists, the delegation spoke with many of the Guard’s units, teams, and leadership to exchange lessons learned, best practices, and strategies for dealing with the pandemic that has affected both nations. The Alabama National Guard and Romania have been allied through the State Partnership Program since 1993 and have conducted hundreds of mutual training exercises and joint operations in that time.
