FORT BENNING, Ga. – In a February 2020 photo, students attending the Basic Leader Course of the Henry Caro Noncommissioned Officer Academy here train on how to identify a six-digit map grid. As the academy prepares for the arrival of hundreds of new students this month, it's launching a rigorous set of precautions to limit the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Those include COVID-19 nasal swab testing for each student newly arrived for class, restricting entry to school grounds, placing limits on students' movements, and rigorous cleaning of classrooms six times daily, among other measures. The school is part of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, and trains Infantry and Armor noncommissioned officers.
