Slovenian Armed Forces Sgt. 1st Class Damir Zalokar salutes at a change of command ceremony July 3, 2020, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. Zalokar, a member of the Kosovo Force Regional-Command East’s effects battalion (also known as the non-kinetic battalion), attended the ceremony where RC-E welcomed its newest commander of effects battalion troops. The multinational troops from half a dozen countries makeup multiple liaison monitoring teams who are charged with supporting situational awareness and KFOR communication campaigns in RC-E’s area of responsibility. LMTs work closely alongside community members, their leaders, and non-government organizations in an effort to ensure the safety and security and freedom of movement for all the people in Kosovo in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
