Two California Army National Guardsmen from the 330th Military Police Company, 143rd Military Police Battalion, 49th Military Police Brigade work on a simulated injured Soldier as part of their Combat Lifesaver (CLS) mini skills validation lane during the battalion’s annual training July 11-25, 2020 at Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton, California. Combat medics can only work on one individual at a time, triaged by the most severely injured first. If the medic is injured or there are many injured, CLS is critical and may potentially save lives. During the course, participants are trained to provide immediate care categorized as care under fire, tactical field care and tactical evacuation.
