CAMP PENDLETON, California (July 17, 2020) – The front cover of the program for U.S. Marine Col. Robert Bailey who relinquished command of Marine Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) to Lt. Col. Michael Liguori in a ceremony aboard Camp Pendleton July 17, 2020. Bailey served as the commanding officer for the past three years and expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks to MCTSSA staff, his family and a few long-time friends who were able to attend the event. Liguori assumed command after previously spending the past year as the executive officer.

“This is inherently a people business. What I’ll ask you to do…Always continue to treat your teammates and shipmates with respect, courtesy and dignity. Exercise empathy. Be kind. Be your teammate’s best teammate and help them be successful at everything they do. I hope I’ve left MCTSSA better than I found it. Thank you and semper fidelis,” Bailey said during his final remarks.

MCTSSA, established in 1970, conducts testing, evaluation, engineering, and provides direct technical support to the Fleet Marine Forces for Marine Corps and Joint Service command, control, computer, communications, intelligence (C4I) systems and expeditionary combat vehicle systems in order to inform acquisition decisions to make Marines more capable.
