Jurney was recognized by the JGSDF for his leadership and efforts in support of the U.S.-Japan Alliance, strengthening the partnership between the U.S. Marine Corps and JGSDF by increasing interoperability and operational capabilities through numerous bilateral exercises and collaborative training events.
