SILVERDALE, Wash. (July 29, 2020) “I feel like most boats aren’t comparable to us. I think we have a camaraderie that’s a little different... I can hang out with anybody. They’re all good people and we all work hard. We’ve been through a lot of inspections and tough times coming out of the ship yard, so I think that adversity we went through is pretty important to our success so far," said Electronic's Technician (Navigation) 2nd Class Daniel Callahan, from West Springfield, Massachusetts, USS Maine (SSBN 741). 2020 marks USS Maine's 25th anniversary since commissioning and it is also the state of Maine's bicentennial.
