U.S. Army Spc. Cody McGrath of the California National Guard’s 132nd Multi-Role Bridge Company drives a Bobcat, a small front-end load machine, at the Cache Creek River in Yolo County, California, Aug. 23, 2020, prior to the construction of a 100-foot temporary floating bridge. Cal Guard responded to a California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection request to build a structure adjacent to the Cache Creek Canyon Low Water Bridge, so emergency vehicles can get to the ongoing LNU Lightning Complex Fire that has destroyed 330,000 acres in less than a week.
