U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Thomas M. Siverts, the outgoing commanding officer of 2d Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment (V28), 2d Marine Division, receives the Meritorious Service Medal from Col. Brian Coyne, commanding officer of 2d Marine Regiment after a change of command ceremony on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sep. 3, 2020. During the change of command ceremony, Siverts relinquished command of V28 to Lt. Col. Douglas P. Bahrns. Siverts received the medal for his outstanding service with V28.
