Sgt. Daniel Trowell, the water treatment supervisor for the 127th Quartermaster Company out of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Spc. Felipe Sotomayor, a water treatment specialist also assigned to the 127th QM Company, fill a potable water reservoir during a Vibrant Response 13 field training exercise at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind., July 29. During the Vibrant Response exercise, Trowell, a native of Lakeland, Fla., and Sotomayor, originally from Puerto Rico, were responsible for purifying, storing and delivering potable water to displaced civilians. Along with other JTF-CS units, the 127th QM Company, trained to demonstrate their ability to support local, state and federal authorities in the event of a man-made or natural disaster in country.
