Sept. 29, 2020. 3d Reconnaissance Battalion is attached to 4th Marine Regiment for the duration of ITX 1-21 to maintain proficiency in the regiment’s tactical operations. SLTE 1-21 is an exercise designed to provide realistic and challenging training at every level of the Marine Corps to better prepare Marines to operate against future peer and non-peer threats. Marines are also taking extensive mitigation efforts against COVID-19 by methodically sanitizing areas, wearing face coverings, social distancing, and additional hand washing/sanitization stations are provided for units in the field.
