U.S. Air Force Col. Daniel McDonough, the commander of the 182nd Airlift Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, shows Richard Ward II and Ann J. Richard Ward, an F-84D Thunderstreak pilot who died in an on-base aircraft accident during the June 1959 drill weekend.
