U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Benjamin W. J. Capuli, left, an embarkation and logistics specialist, and Sgt. Jalin Leatherman, right, a data systems administrator, both with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, conduct personnel recovery training during an emergency deployment readiness exercise at Trujillo, Honduras, Sept. 20, 2020. Leatherman and Capuli trained in multiple water survival techniques and how to float together with crewmembers during the exercise. Soldiers with Joint Task Force-Bravo and SPMAGTF-SC conducted this exercise to showcase SOUTHCOM’s capability to quickly self-deploy and respond to a variety of contingencies across Central America. The Marines of SPMAGTF-SC continue to perform interagency cooperation with members of JTF-Bravo to meet mission success and work together to strengthen relationships with partner nations.
