Cleveland Museum of Natural History staff begin removing flowering rush, an invasive plant species, from ~860 acres of marsh at Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve and and Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve located on the southern shore of Lake Erie, Mentor, OH, August 21, 2020.
This project is intended to provide a benefit to aquatic species by restoring native vegetation, maintaining suitable habitat, and restoring ecosystem and riparian/wetland function.
