Capt. Mark D. Kesselring, U.S. Fleet Forces (USFF) Command assistant chief of staff, presents a flag letter of commendation from Adm. Christopher W. Grady, Commander, USFF, to Musician 2nd Class Sandra Herrera, assigned to U.S. Fleet Forces Band, during an awards ceremony onboard Naval Station Norfolk. Herrera was selected as USFF Junior Sailor of the Quarter, 3rd Quarter for fiscal year 2020. As musical representative for U.S. Fleet Forces Command, the band provides support for ships, military bases, foreign dignitaries, and community events throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Ohio River Valley areas of the United States, and regularly deploys to Central and South America.
