U.S. Marines with Task Force Permanent Change of Station (TF PCS), are presented with the Navy Commendation and Achievement medal for their successful support in the island-wide COVID-19 mitigation effort, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 30, 2020. Marine Corps Community Services staff and TF PCS ensured Marines, Sailors, civilians and family members were taken care of while transitioning to Okinawa and executing their period of restriction of movement. They provided assistance to families and Marines with meals, sponsors, and medical transportation, and in addition, gathered, compiled and processed data for up to 150 travelers per inbound Patriot Express flight. Due to the guidelines practiced to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while on ROM, it resulted in zero uncontained positive COVID-19 cases. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Karis Mattingly)
