Members from the 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron worked together to replace a C-17 Globemaster III engine in Southwest Asia, August 4, 2012. Most engine changes are done within 48 hours in a controlled environment inside an aircraft hangar, but the ‘Ocho’ team finished in 34 hours and saved $120,000 by doing the repairs downrange at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing.
