After performing area reconnaissance in a commercial water raft, firemen assigned to the Fort Knox Fire Protection Team prepare to enter a flooded residential area to evacuate injured civilians trapped in houses and vehicles during a Vibrant Response 13 water rescue exercise at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex, Aug. 9. Upon entering the smokey training venue, the Kentucky Firemen from Rineyville, Ky., utilized their technical rescue skills to complete the Vibrant Response homeland disaster training venue, conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North.
