A Green Beret with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) checks in with a jumpmaster during a High-Altitude Low Opening (HALO) jump as part of RED FLAG-RESCUE exercise on November 6, 2020 at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, AZ. RED FLAG-RESCUE is the Department of Defense’s premier Combat Search and Rescue exercise. As a joint-force experience, it provides realistic CSAR training in contested, degraded, and operationally limited environments. The exercise allows operators and aircrews to hone their high-end readiness.
