Brett Jervis, a retired Marine captain who went to boot camp in 1968, sits in his small replica of a 1935 “Paddy Wagon” before taking part in the parade for Maine’s 2012 Lobster Festival in Rockland, Aug. 4. Jervis, who served for 11 years in the Marine Corps, drives the vehicle in numerous parades every year and still wears a baseball cap with the Marine Corps’ emblem on a regular basis.
