Air Force Master Sgt. Laurice Souron, training manager with 163rd Reconnaissance Wing, accepts the U.S. flag from the honor guard during a memorial for her mother, Laura Froehlich, at the Riverside National Cemetery Aug. 10. For more than 10 years, when the nation called for Marines and sailors to depart March Air Reserve Base to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, she was on call to say goodbye and greet them upon return.
