SAN ANTONIO – (Dec. 1, 2020) Juan P. Rodriguez, a resident of San Antonio and native of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, was awarded the Department of the Navy’s Civilian Service Commendation Medal by Cmdr. Michael Files at Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. Rodriguez, a retired Navy master chief who has serves as the education services specialist for NTAG San Antonio since 2009, received the award for meritorious service for building professional relationships with institutions of learning, Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS), Navy Recruiting Command, and educational services specialists throughout the nation. NTAG San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes two Talent Acquisition Onboarding Centers (TAOC) which manage more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
