201202-N-IE405-2061 ARABIAN GULF (Dec. 2, 2020) The patrol coastal ship USS Squall (PC 7), the U.S. Coast Guard patrol boat USCGC Adak (WPB 1333) and the U.S. Coast Guard patrol boat USCGC Aquidneck (WPB 1309) sail astern of the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58) in the Arabian Gulf, Dec. 2. Philippine Sea is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
