American Lotus, thrives on Lake Okeechobee it has large round leaves, and the pale yellow bloom has a delightful perfume. Its leaves and stems provide structure and cover for fish. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its partner agencies work together to conserve and restore Floridas Ecosystems. Bee's are hard at work collecting pollen from the lotus plant.
