Sgt. Jalin Leatherman, a data systems administrator, and Cpl. Elijah Soper, a network administrator, both with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command set up a field expedient antenna at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Sept. 15, 2020. The Marines used the field expedient antenna to communicate with the remainder of the task force in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and reinforce their knowledge of radio communication fundamentals. A group of approximately 20 Marines from SPMAGTF-SC integrated with Joint Task Force - Bravo at Soto Cano Air Base in support of operations and exercises in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The remainder of the task force is prepared to deploy to the region to work alongside partner nation militaries, enhancing combined crisis response efforts in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
